In preparation for the end of the declared COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) on May 11, 2023, MGMA hosted a member-exclusive GovChat Live webinar to discuss the potential impact on medical groups, as well as advocacy priorities moving forward.
In early 2020, Congress and the Administration worked quickly to implement hundreds of waivers, providing medical groups greater flexibility to run their practices. With the conclusion of the PHE, many of these waivers will end as well.
